As you might have heard by now, Danica Patrick will not continue her sponsorship with Stewart-Haas Racing for NASCAR. She has raced for SHR for over five years but the race team announced a new sponsorship position last Tuesday, leaving Danica out.
Danica Patrick Not Racing In NASCAR Anymore?!
“Sponsorship plays a vital role in our sport, and I have been very fortunate over the course of my career, but this year threw us for a curve. Our amazing partners, such as Aspen Dental and Code 3, stepped up in a big way on short notice this year and I am incredibly grateful.” Danica said on her Facebook page shortly after the SHR sponsorship announcement. “I wish SHR the best of luck with their new sponsorship and driver. Thanks for the memories. Right now, my focus is on the remainder of the 2017 season and finishing the year strong. I have the utmost faith in myself and those around me, and feel confident about my future.”
Which she should, considering Danica has made a huge name for herself as the first woman to lead, pole and win in NASCAR and the Verizon IndyCar Series. But now that she is out a sponsor for NASCAR in 2018, what will she do? Continue her NASCAR career with another team or dive deeper into her already developed clothing line company and winery. She has many options to choose from but of course, I would love to see her stay in racing!
Good luck with your next career Danica, we are all rooting for you 🙂 By the way, if you are a fan of Danica Patrick, make sure to follow her on Instagram! She shares her winery, fitness routines, and so much more.
