New & Used Extended Warranties

Chrysler extended warranties are available for new and used models.

Why Choose a Chrysler Extended Warranty

A new Chrysler vehicle will come with a manufacturer's warranty which will cover 3 years or 36,000 miles whichever comes first. When that warranty wears out you will be left to pay for the rest out of your pocket if any repairs need to be made. By buying a Chrysler Extended Warranty, you are extending that coverage. There are 250,000 different options when purchasing a Chrysler Extended Warranty. But there are also 3 main extended warranties to choose from with Chrysler. Those warranties are called Maximum Care, Added Care Plus, and Power-train Care.

The Chrysler Extended Warranty applies to all of the Chrysler vehicles including the following:

  • Chrysler 300 & Chrysler 300 AWD
  • Chrysler Pacifica & Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid
  • Chrysler Town & Chrysler Town and Country
  • Chrysler AWD
  • Chrysler 200

3 Levels of Coverage With A Chrysler Extended Warranty

There are 3 Chrysler Extended Warranty Packages with varying coverages. The 3 extended care warranties that you will get to choose from are called Maximum Care, Added Care Plus and Power-train Care.

Maximum Care

The most comprehensive extended warranty that can be purchased with Chrysler vehicles is Maximum Care. This coverage will extend your manufacturer's warranty and also cover more than 5,000 components, providing complete mechanical coverage for your vehicle. There are many choices with Maximum Care with a variety of terms to choose from. You can choose the mileage and time that works best for you.

Covered Components

Maximum Care is a bumper-to-bumper warranty, meaning if it's not excluded, it is covered. Rather than list several hundreds of components that are covered, let me list what is excluded. The whole vehicle is covered with Maximum Care with the exception of Maintenance services and items used in such services, glass, and plastic lenses, body and paint items including soft trim, wear items such as manual clutch assembly, brake pads, shoes, rotors, drums and belts, snow plows, winches, and trailer hitches. So, as you can see Maximum Care is going to cover most of a Chrysler vehicle with very little exceptions.

Added Benefits

  • Towing and Roadside Assistance – benefits include towing, flat tire change with your good spare, battery jump, out-of-gas fuel delivery (maximum 2 gallons), lockout service (for example, keys locked in the car or lock frozen). Towing assistance will only be sent for mechanical disablement which makes the vehicle inoperable. This plan covers towing and roadside assistance when it is not covered by the factory warranty.
  • First Day Rental – Maximum Care will pay for $35 of a first-day rental allowance if your covered vehicle requires any mechanical repairs or maintenance service at participating dealerships.
  • Car Rental Allowance – This coverage will pay up to $35 a day for a maximum of 5 days ($175 maximum) anytime a covered component fails to render the vehicle inoperable and needing repairs. Car rental allowance coverage is not provided when a loaner vehicle coverage is provided by the warranty or dealer. The rental has to be obtained from a dealer or licensed rental agency.
  • Trip Interruption Protection – Maximum Care will pay up to $1,000 for lodging, meals and transportation expenses if your covered vehicle encounters a mechanical breakdown if you happen to be 100 miles or more away from home.
  • Auto Valet Concierge Service – Maximum Care has many 1-800 phone numbers that you can call for assistance in the following areas: Direct assistance (Providing trip route guidance such as mapping, approximate drive time and mileage, and driving turn by turn directions to most cities and towns across the US, Lodging reservations, Location and listing of restaurants and other businesses, Airline Information including available flights, times and fares, and updates on major news, sport scores and weather reports.

Chrysler Used Car Warranty

Buying a used car makes financial sense in many ways. If you can get your hands on a certified pre-owned Chrysler vehicle, you probably dollar for dollar are getting more bang for your buck. The reason is that when a new vehicle leaves the lot, it decreases in value drastically. But buying a used Chrysler vehicle that is less than 5 years of age and less than 75,000 miles on the odometer gives you a remaining 7-year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty. Chrysler's standard certified pre-owned program also includes benefits such as roadside assistance and car rental allowance.

Why Buy An Extended Warranty?

So much goes into purchasing a new vehicle. You have to decide which make and model you want to purchase. You may even test drive several vehicles before deciding on the one that best fits your budget and specifications. Then on top of that, you have to determine whether to buy an extended warranty. Let's discuss why it's a good idea to buy that extended Chrysler Warranty.

First, you'll have no big out of pocket expenses. Chances are that at some point after your Chrysler manufacturer's warranty runs out, you will face vehicle repairs. When that time comes, you will be happy that you don't have to pay for those repairs. Having a vehicle fixed can be costly. If you have an extended warranty for your Chrysler, you won't have to sweat it when things go wrong. There will be no big out-of-pocket expenses.

Second, having an extended warranty makes repairs easier. Why? Because you just take it to a certified Chrysler mechanic. There's no shopping around for a mechanic who may or may not know how to fix your Chrysler vehicle. Simply drop it off at a mechanic certified by Chrysler, and you can be confident that it's in good hands.

Third, your Chrysler vehicle will be more valuable if you sell it while it is under an extended warranty plan. Unless you plan on keeping your vehicle until its final days, this is a big plus for buying an extended warranty.

Can I Buy An Extended Warranty After Purchasing A Vehicle?

You can purchase an extended warranty after you purchase a vehicle, just so that the manufacturer's warranty has not run out. Also, you will have needed to keep up with oil changes and other basic factory recommendations for taking care of your vehicle in order to extend the warranty.

Chrysler Extended Warranty Conclusion

I've covered the 3 levels of the Chrysler Extended Warranties. If you choose an extended warranty with Chrysler you can decide if you'd like the Maximum Care, Added Care Plus or Powertrain Care. Within each warranty, you also have many options of how much coverage you'd like to buy. I've gone over the benefits of buying an extended warranty and things to consider when purchasing a Chrysler extended warranty. I hope that this information helps you to make a wise choice when deciding on whether or not to purchase a Chrysler Extended Warranty and also which warranty to buy.

Rated Highly By Our Customers

"They are knowledgeable about the products they sell and were able to guide us to the plan for our Chrysler Pacifica. The end result is we saved about $1000 over the plan the dealership offered us. Also there was no high pressure sales approach like all the other companies I called."
