I love to broaden my book collection from time to time. Especially when the weather is just perfect for reading, I tend to curl up with numerous books and read until my butt is sore from sitting. While you might not think car books would be enjoyable… I personally find them exhilarating! Car books include anything from learning how to change your tire, to race techniques, to traveling, and beyond. The cool thing is you really don’t have to be a gearhead to enjoy these!
So, why not reach that New Years Resolution of reading more. Expand your genre, read a couple of these awesome car books and curl up this winter!
Car Books To Curl Up With This Winter
One of my all time favorites. You don’t have to be a racer to enjoy this book. It teaches you so much on form and handling. Learn to master your vehicle with Going Faster!
Never thought a car book could be a novel? Well, think again. The Art Of Racing In The Rain explains car racing through the eyes of a four-legged… dog? That’s right! Car racing through a dogs point of view.
Drive On!: A Social History of the Motor Car
Your car says a lot about you, as explained in this book. Drive On! takes a look at the development of cars throughout the ages and how important they were to society. What does your favorite classic car say about you?
Form Follows Function: The Art of the Supercar
We all love supercars! Heads turn when they are near. Your heart races hearing the sound of its engine. You get jealous every time you see a supercar in the hands of someone else. Sound familiar? Then this book is for you!
I mentioned this book before as a great gift for the ultimate gearhead. An epic battle between amazing manufacturers. Who takes the win?
The DeLorean Story: The car, the people, the scandal
For those of you that love Back To The Future, this is a must read. The Delorean Story explains the creation of the Delorean and all the scandal that followed.
Of course, we have a book on the corvette. One of the best car manufacturers and models every created. Curl up on the couch this winter with this book. It’ll be worth it.
I saved the best for last. The Porsche 911, (as we drool over the cover), is a classic car everyone should own. Or at least drive! This book looks at the past 50 years of the Porsche 911. A wonderful beauty that keeps getting better.
