April’s Car Of The Month
2011 BMW 128i
The 2011 BMW 1-series, or 128i, is April’s Car Of The Month. I choose this car for April because I have personally driven the car and think it is the perfect, all-around starter car for young adults or new drivers. It not only has that German touch but offers great features that newbies will love. It is light, yet durable, and easy to drive. You can easily find this car used and in good condition, with low mileage. It is the perfect first car for teens because it offers great safety features, like the BLUETOOTH calling device, is durable, and drives great in the city or on highways. BMW takes pride in their work, and it definitely shows in this fella!
Year, Make, Model: 2011, 128i (1-series), BMW Automatic Coupe
Engine: 3.0L 6-cylinder engine
Engine Performance: This BMW carries 230 hp at 6,500 RPM
Weight: The nice thing about this car is it’s not too heavy. She weighs approximately 3,252lbs, which is only a little more than my Audi TT!
MPG: The BMW 128i, being an automatic coupe, gets 18 mpg city driving, and 28 mpg on the highway with a 14-gallon gas tank.
Interior: I really enjoy the interior of this vehicle. While I prefer manual cars, this automatic coupe offers manual shifting if desired. The 2011 BMW 128i has a back-row with two seats, a very nice dashboard, and tight steering wheel. It has heated front seats and a great sound system. The sound system allows cd’s, FM/XM radio, AUX and USB connection for phones, plus BLUETOOTH for calls. The trunk in this BMW 128i is quite large for a four-seater coupe, which means it is perfect for road trips or moving into college! Speaking of road trips, this car came with the Run Flat tires, which means if you have a flat tire you can still run it up to a specific mileage point. That way you can pull up to the nearest mechanic shop without having to wait for roadside assistance.
I hope you enjoy!
